Eighteen: crashed
So after the park, I coma led hubby to watch over Beth while I went out to take my first bike ride since the temps settled in the 100s this year. Oh, I had made great plans to build up my endurance and keep pedaling all summer long, but a dearth of time and navigable paths close by sidelined those ideas. So today, I thought a nice simple ride down the creek path and back again.
And it was a fine idea indeed, all the way up until it came into my head to push on past the end of the bike trail to see if I could find the fabled safe bike path to Dell and back again, and then I found that all the way back was going to be upwind... I managed some 12 miles total, with some 2 miles to go, before I stumbled off my bike in a park to rest and found that I just couldn't get started back up again. Dear hubby had to come rescue me n the bike, for the first time- dead embarrassing, that.
But it was a grand ride.
