And then on to the mother load, tho you best get it fast, 'cause it's hot. Behold, mortals: tremble, and witness the horror that is the original Star Wars Christmas Special. Well, it does have Boba Fett & Bea Auther- what's not to like?
Mind, if you can sit through that and you still think George Lucas has even the merest scrap of real talent, then- well, you are a better man than I. But even so, he should have been encased in carbonite right after this got aired, for the good of us all.
S'been busy. K's family flew in to nest here for the holidays- it was nice and homey for the most part, but they are also ever so lightly laced thru with the ghosts of issues & arguments from long ago, as most families are. K's husband P is also back from Chicago and he is working to assimilate back into the family structure that we've built up here in his absence, and it's not been entirely smooth. S'family, je? R & I went off to to visit my parents out in the prairie, who gave us 5 pounds of gourmet bacon, a package of dill mustard, and home made sour kraut- ya see a theme here? We managed to get the first picture of my Dad actually holding Beth- he's tricky that way. Beth's first tooth popped up, and she let us all know about it quite effectively, tho the whole incident passed remarkably quickly, too. We've only 19 more to go.
R & I went out to McKinney State Park and hiked around a very loopy trail that meandered around the forest- it was good to spend time, just him and me. R thinks I should go road tripping in the two weeks off I have left, as it seems to clear my head. But the budgets are tight, and it's a long way to go before you can get anywhere, from here.
Plus, it's just so darned cold out there...
