sunday, Sunday, SUNDAY!

For the most part Halloween went well- to say the least, housemate P did real good, I thought. So did the kids; one small tot came up and barely got out 'trick or treat'; after I gave him some, he walked away, then turned back, and said, 'this place is very scary...' And it was at just that time I saw two adults on the sidewalk with a screaming girl wrapped around their legs, crying, 'I don't want to go there! I CAN'T go there!!'

Good times, indeed.

We ended up with more candy left over than last year, even with R snarfing up all the 100k bars and putting tupperware under the candy in the bowl to hide the loss ( he almost got away with it, too). Neighbors up the street put on a big party that drew kids away, plus I think the little girl wasn't the only one who didn't dare pass by our yard. Next year, P wants to spend more time on the project- with pvc piping, he claims, you can make a very passable haunted maze....

The parental visit yesterday went well enough- no car troubles this time round (the rav is holding up rather well, but it reeks like an ashtray now), lots of good conversation, and also, corn holing! Dad caught videos of this esoteric sport on Youtube, and decided to make corn hole equipment which he graciously gifted us yesterday to us- it's *all* kinds of special, really.

If ya don't believe me, go look it up yourself...

Slow day otherwise; breakfast at the local coffeehouse, some yard clean up (rubber cement webbing is remarkably easy to clean up). R and our houseguest went out dancing, while the rest of us along with houseguest Ric watched movies her at home- t'was nice. Today we're off to the Wurst Fest in new Bruansfals, possible Dim Sum, and other fun.

Hope your weekend is tits, kids...
