My boss has what I believe moroccochloe once called "an interesting relationship with the English language". He mispronounces long words occasionally, and scattered misspellings appear in his handwritten notes. (He uses spellcheck in his e-mails, sort of self-consciously.) But still, I was a little taken aback today when he said that I was "compulsive anal obsessive".
I don't think that parses well.

After a long and tortuous search, I have new roommates. The master bedroom in our suite is now being occupied by a young couple around my age, who seem like nice folks. The guy is a freelance photographer, who's an aviation enthusiast (like myself), and he really likes the fact that the apartment is right across the bay from LaGuardia Airport. The girl is a part-time babysitter, part-time graphic designer (I think I got that right), and very much of a homebody. They claim to be gamers; this has yet to be seen, although they did bring a laminated jigsaw puzzle and Cranium when they moved in. So things should work out all right.
