Football in the air

Spent some time today watching the Jets-Bills game this afternoon, and i have to say I'm very pleased.  I know I didn't like how they handled the offseason, and they still don't have even the remote hint of a running game, but Chad Pennington has shown himself to be a real mensch.  The stats didn't look that great today--just 183 yards passing--but

Sure, we could go on and on about pro football, but wouldn't we all rather talk about college football &mdash and especially my 4-and-0 Michigan Wolverines, who put such a pasting on Notre Dame last week that it simultaneously (A) restored my faith in an orderly universe and (B) made the Pope cry.

Seriously. My boys in Maize and Blue might just do it this year. Mike Hart and Mario Manningham are a killer 1-2 punch at RB and WR, and the Michigan defense is number one in the nation at stopping the run &mdash holding opponents to a super-stingy average of less than a yard per carry.
