So last month I started for the second time a rewatch of How I met your mother.
Under the cut SPOILERS for seasons 1-7!
Last time I only got to half of the 3rd season (somewhere on the Stella story there's an episode that reaaally makes you exhaustingly tired and bored of Ted dramas). But this time I got there, let Netflix put the next episode and that was it: soon enought it was a fun show again. So now I'm watching season 8, seriously thinking about marrying Robin and enjoying the show too much (it's like a drug).
Discussion points!
· Does Ted need to be so stupid for the show to work?
(Sure, he's cute and nice sometimes, but if I had to make a list of the horrible things he says and does and all the times he's nothing but selfish and how boring and intense he is with nonsense pfff.)
· Are Marshall and Lily real? Because they're just too cute and perfect as a couple. Even their fights are kind of cute.
· Isn't it sad how an awesome character like Robin is only on the show because he's the love interest of the main character? And how she doesn't have a life outside of the group? (Random boyfriends don't count.) Or friends (there is this one episode where she hangs out with her female "friends" on Valentine's day... only so that one of them -Nora- becomes Barney's new conquest; but what really happens is that she doesn't have a social life outside of her boyfriend's friend group, just a couple of coworkers with which she hangs once a year). It's so sad. She's awesome and should have lots of friends and a very tight social life schedule. But this way she's just the sad ex that Ted lets be part of the group because he's secretly trying to get back with her (and she doesn't have anywhere else to go).
