The Pale Prince
Marius has had a slight touch-up to his face-up; I redid his eyebrows with a base of grey pastel before layering watercolour pencils in burnt umber, sky blue, purple and grey followed by a light dusting of white pastel to even out the colour. I finished by lightly painting in fine lines in grey acrylic, finishing with white and sealing with brushed-on matt varnish.
I also subtly touched up his lips with the addition of liplines in dark peach, pale pink and white highlights, followed by a thin coat of iridescent medium on the bottom lip and sealing with gloss varnish.
Overall I'm pleased with the way he's come out; I was never entirely happy with his original eyebrows, and I'm much happier now he's exactly the way I originally envisioned him. He's still unmistakeably Marius - just more perfect. :-)
