Seattle

I did not do the best job of taking photos, but here are a few from my trip to Seattle.

We got into Seattle late Thursday night and checked in to the Alexis Hotel. Very nice place downtown. We were more than happy with it. Giant rooms. Frankie will have photos of it later. I failed to take any.

Since it was so late, we mostly just sat in the room and relaxed.

Like here we have frankie reading comics with Family Guy on in the background. I told you we are nerds.

Friday was the first day of PAX. For those not familiar, it is a giant video game expo.

It was cold to us AZ people, so Frankie had to wear a hat.

I did not get any photos of PAX on Friday. That night we went out with our friend Steve (more on him in a minute, when I get to the photos of him) and his friends. We experienced the joys of some mall in Tukwilla. I think that is how that silly ass city name is spelled. I am too lazy to google it.

From dinner, we moved on to some of the bars, specifically The Cuff. It was actually a really cool place, although both frankie and I were feeling a little sick, so we headed home to prep for saturday.

Saturday was the day of insanity.

Started out normally enough, meeting Steve and going to the Cheesecake Factory across from PAX for lunch.

Tell me he is not adoreable.

From there, we went in and played some video games. I did not get pictures of any until we walked up to Guitar Hero World Tour and an adoreable girl was singing Modest Mouse. That gives you automatic points for us, so she ended up joining Frankie and Steve's Band. There was a fourth member assigned to them, but I randomly decided to dislike him, so he gets no photos.

These were the only two group shots. And one lets you see a bit of the adorable nerdy camera man that was filming them. They were also the first group (out of the 5 I watched) to get applause. They basically rocked.

After more playing, Frankie and I left to meet up with Greg, Matt, Angie (that is how I choose to spell it. No idea if it is right), and Adam who was in town randomly. Those of you that have been around here a while know what happens when Matt, Frankie, and I combine forces.

The other three wait patiently as we do shots. Actually Greg and Adam joined in 2 each I think. And I think Angie was in on 1. Frankie Matt and I were at 3 leaving the hotel.

From the hotel, we wandered to Rock Bottom to get some food, and more drinks.

This photo clearly demonstrates two things. 1) Adam is insane. 2) Greg is almost completely unable to look normal in a posed photo. Yes, this was posed.

Then again....Matt might win....

Our waiter was kind enough to take a group shot. For those that have not seen me since Thursday, I shaved my head. I also smile like a crazy person. Then again, by this point I was on beer 2? and shot 5. I feel that excuses me.

After Rock Bottom it was wandering time, so we decided to go see the gum wall.

Yes. That is gum. Thousands and Thousands of pieces, spanning an area around 10 x 10.

Also, yes, I was wearing a hoodie and a warm hat in August. Shut it.

After the bars closed, we went back to the hotel and drank more.

When Matt's hair starts doing that, it is time to call it a night.

Sunday was fairly relaxed for me as I was not feeling too well for some reason. Had some sushi with Steve, and bummed around the hotel. Greg and Frankie went to a party that night. I am sure pictures of that will be coming in a post from Frankie.

Monday we packed up, Steve picked us up, we grabbed some lunch, I kicked some ass at SSBB, and we came home.

Oh, one last picture because I can't get over how fucking cute he is.

Come on, how can you not love that?
