I've got it! I know Why The Bill Went Down The Pan: the story editors are secret fans of BadFic.

(well, it'd explain Luke/Gilmore...)

Absolutely no casting or production news, but it's worth noting that The Official Site is actively encouraging people - country of origin no object - to vote repeatedly in the National Telly Awards. *

Says it all, doesn't it?

Wash the taste out with

Ep 328:

Gary's alive, but he thinks he's Bob Cryer. Shock! Gasp! Fret! as he juggles an Emotional Family Reconciliation Moment - with his Mum, because she's the only one we haven't had to endure yet - with OMG My Legs Don't Work No Mo'. Immediate resignation is inevitable - shame really 'cos once you get him away from all that "all family suddenly in Sun Hill with grudges" crap he's an interesting little tyke. Some of the other cops are looking for who shot him, and surprise surprise keep stumbling across Okaro's New Dodgy Old Friend (who's giving Adam naughty smokies).

Meanwhile, SuperSmif and the Conveniently Returned CPS Fella rescue a fainted Gina, and Tony's 1000047844th Dating Service Storyline reveals not only that Amber's moonlighting as an escort, but that PC Stamp thinks having a date impresses people.

(Hands up all those who want him to quit and move to Manchester to wook after Gawwy? Actually, better still, why not have Gawwy move in with Tony *and* replace TokenWheelie in CAD? That way TPTB kill two EEO birds with one stone...)

Ep 329:

Okaro on Green hits Tabloids. Not surprisingly, the first White Male Borough Commander we've seen since Episode 000 is also the first one who isn't susceptible to the "legendary" (mythical if you ask me) Okaro Charm. Bye Adam. But wait... Hello Adam! New Dodgy Old Mate hires him as a security guard starting now. Right.

NB: it's worth pointing out that the person THIS synopsis names as the B.C. (Ian Barratt) was named as simply the Super of Spicer Street in the synopsis for Ep 315. Hey, we didn't have to sit through a Will Adam Get Promoted story! [note to self: tag for 'small mercies']

In any case, he's a Commander now and he catches Nadsac at it with his lady who - lest we forget - is now conveniently attached to Sun Hill as a DRO (yawn). Wonder who'll get Okaro's job.

Elsewhere Amber's playing silly buggers with Tony - who thoroughly deserves it for telling everyone she's his girl not his escort if you ask me; and Meadows gets all narky about Manson being at it with Suzie Manson lying to him about it.

Oh aye? :: interest in this storyline finally perked ::

As ever, synopses in nice language available at The Official Site.

==========

* :: shamefacedly :: yeah okay I went and voted, but only *once* thank you! and only because I think Rose and Maloney deserves buckets and buckets of support. It's the only cop drama which hasn't devolved into slop and cliche (and the only female lead not buying into "acceptably feminine feminist" bullshit, GRRR). Participate or Jam The F**ker at itv.com.
