Ooookay. Grud bless public holidays. Subject 1 Assignment 2 - submitted. Subject 2 Assignment 2 - final draft. Both worth 50%. Now all I have to do is keep pissing about on the Discussion Boards (which are AWFUL - about a quarter as functional as LJ, nowhere near as easy to use - very unrewarding) for a week or so.
Renaissance exhibition wonderful! A real Lovejoy-type "chime in the chest" sort of experience...
Bugatto! all those lovely
Bergognones *swoon* Jon very ambivalent - (a) because they were just "old stuff", (b) because the imagery was largely religious and to his mind that means They Didn't Know Any Better. Reactions funny as a fit. Gave him the Evolution of Humanism 101 in whispers but he still doesn't quite get why all the converging things and the move to Paintings of People is so very cool. My favourites: still the "scholar" and "gentleman" type pictures. Hubby's comment: most of them look like my Dad.
Yeah, well... No Pope Julius, but - dammit.
Finally have time to sit down with (a) telly and (b) Scalped vol 8. YAYZ. Aaron & Guera are god.
Will some kind deity please see fit to inspire some lovely Canadian to upload the new episodes of Blackstone to torrents? Have been waiting v. impatiently for series 2 and now no sod is bloody pirating. Would be much appreciated thank you.
Bushwalk - Bald Hill FT motorbike trails to Mulloon Creek (bushbash); to junction of Jinglemoney and Palerang FTs. One. Lousy. Mushroom :) of which I'll post pics eventually, maybe. Well, and two very dead White Punks which has me all confused about growing season now... thought it was Feb. Maybe not. Same territory as last week - found a couple, nothing special. Not a lot up Mt Tennant either, although grossing Jon out with the puffballs was fun.
Come on rain! I'm betting that with a bit of water we'll be in cortinar heaven by mid-Feb.
