Glasses repaired. Workwise: Validator Visit announced - any two consecutive days in the next six weeks we could be Inspected (aarrgghhhhh this is serious - can lose our license if we fuck up etc... my Room Leader has been told if we fail it'll be Preschool's fault, so she's gone to bits from stress).
Went to see Mum and Dad while hubby did the good little aikidoki thing and painted a dojo. Avoided the Bungendore Country Muster as far as possible (hid in the one cafe that didn't have people singing at one...). Put half Arthur of the Britons on DVD. Watching some beautifully odd Potter - Shaggy Dog from 1968; lots of lovely minis and Big Eyelashes :)
Prep: Borlotti beans: soak 5 hours, simmer for 3
Slice chicken thinly, marinate in lemon juice, garam masala and cayenne pepper - in fridge an hour or two
Chop finely: reasonable knob ginger, 6 garlic, handful of Vietnamese mint, handful cashews, 2 shallots
Mix with beans, add dash of soy, let sit about an hour
Quarter spuds, parboil 15 mins approx - not too soft
Mix meat, beans and spuds on banana leaf, tie up; moderate oven 20 mins.
Mmm. Followed with homemade ginger icecream and 'alf a pomegranate.
