HAPPY BIRTHDAY TEUKIE!!! NUNA WISH YOU HAPPINESS AND TO BE HEALTHY ALWAYS ^^
Heechul detested the rain. He felt like chucking the umbrella he was holding, feeling his hair starting to stick on his head. His carefully chosen clothes that fit him as though it had been tailored for him was getting damp from the raindrops swirling in the wind and worst of all, water was starting to leak into his favorite boots. Yes. He detested it so.
The bleak day got him wondering though. He didn’t recall a time when it ever rained on the 1st of July in his life. Sure sometimes the wind would blow dark clouds to hide the sun but it never rained he thought as he glared up the skies.
He continued walking passing by a bus stop with a few people sitting at the bench taking cover from the rain triggering a memory from a few years back when he was still a teenager.
He remembered it being sunny one minute and pouring heavily the next sending him sprinting to a bus stop just like the one he had past but with no one about. He frowned he remembered the rain had ruined his new sued shoes.
Heechul remembered a boy too. He had thought the boy was weird and was possibly the same age as he was, soaked and dripping wet in his all white assemble with fake white wings on his back. His shoulders were slumped and his eyes twinkled sadly as he laid a single red rose on the lush green ground. Then it struck him how beautiful he was when he tilted his face up to the rain with a smile gracing his lips, dimpling to the skies and he left bringing the rain away as the drops began to lessen eventually stopping altogether. That was another 1st of July that rained.
Heechul didn’t know how he got onto the pavement as he grimaced at the feel of murky water seeping through his jeans and soaking his boxers. The umbrella he was holding was no longer in his hand blown away by the wind skittering up the street.
“Yah! Are you blind?” Heechul glowered at the person on top of him. Bright eyes met his before he scrambled off him. He stared openly at the man before him. The boy from his memory had materialized into the present. His hair was shorter though, little rivulets of water running down his slender neck. He was definitely older now and had grown very fine he must add as his eyes trailed down the sweater that clung to his body like a second skin.
“I’m sorry, I wasn’t really looking where I was going and really, really sorry that I fall on you and I found these puppies you see and do you know where this is?” Heechul’s mouth quirked like a fool watching the angel went a mile a minute showing a peek of two spotty heads through the collar before shoving them inside. Heechul stood closer to him, stepping into his personal space and grabbed his wrist stopping the pretty angel from his memory from backing away. His eyes lingered at the pretty lip that he was biting before sliding down to the prints on the paper.
“She lives right next door to me,” Heechul answered and the dimple made itself known as he smiled at him. His beauty struck him a second time making his heart pump a little harder to get oxygen into his brains so that it would work properly and tugged him along into the old apartment leaving a wet trail that was bound to have the cleaning ahjumma bitching about.
“Looks like she’s not home,” Heechul stated the obvious while he nodded in agreement beside him staring at the note stuck on the red door telling whoever that found her puppies to leave them in the cage. Their eyes fell to the said item by the door, an opened pad hanging by the circular lock.
“I’m not leaving them in there,” he said scandalized eyeing the cage with distaste.
“Then what do you suggest doing?” Heechul asked starting to get mildly irritated and getting rather cold standing and dripping wet in the hallway.
“You said you live next to her …” his words trailed away looking hopefully at him.
“I’m not going to have those little mutts terrorizing my cat,” Heechul shot down the idea he was entertaining, his nose wrinkling at the head that poked out of the angel’s front. He was more of a cat person thank you.
“But they’re wet,” he said quietly lowering his crestfallen face from view. Heechul narrowed his eyes at him. That is so not going to work on me babe.
“I’m sorry puppies, looks like I’ll have to lock you in,” he said softly rubbing the two fluff balls on his face looking forlorn. Okay, maybe that actually worked on me as he stared at him and melted into a pool of mush. Heechul sighed as he caved in pulling the angel along and unlocked his own door. His feline companion hissed from her post perching on the window sill at the unfamiliar scent.
“Stand down Heebum,” Heechul said. He directed the other man to his bedroom and he watched him hurried away trying to contain the barking madness from wriggling free from under his sweater at the smell of his cat. Heechul averted his gaze only to see Heebum staring accusingly at him.
“What? I wasn’t staring at his butt, mine is way nicer,” he protested. Heebum stared at him a little longer before leaping onto the floor and strutted into the kitchen with her tail swinging haughtily making him cracked into a grin.
Heechul found him in his bathroom together with the puppies. He leaned against the door frame and watched him fill his sink getting ready to clean the puppies to a resemblance of a … well, puppies while the fur balls ran around the bathroom playing and yipping with each other.
“Not going to help?” the angel asked as he scooped the noisy pups off the floor. Heechul shook his head and smiled entertaining his own thoughts. Nope, but I’ll gladly help you get rid of your clothes, sliding his eyes down the wet material that was still clinging onto his slender form.
“Is there a towel that you can spare?” he asked over his shoulder. Heechul shook his head forcing his legs out of the bathroom and came back in with a hair dryer.
“This way is faster,” Heechul told him plugging it into the socket by the door and started blowing them while he held them. They went back out to the lady next door when Heechul pointedly told him that he was not letting them stay and the angel put them into the cage and Heechul shoved in Heebum’s cat food and a bowl of water before finally locking them in.
“Well … thanks for the help,” he said, the dimple winking in sight again. Heechul waved a hand dismissively. “I guess I’ll get going then.”
“Yah pabo, it’s still raining,” Heechul said grabbing his wrist and dragged him back into his apartment, steering him into the bathroom they had just left smelling like wet fur. Heechul cringed. He definitely needed to clean the bathroom.
“It always rain on my birthday,” he said with a shrug leaning against the sink. Heechul paused and turned around his brows shooting to his hairlines.
“So that’s why it rained then and today too,” Heechul mused and handed him a towel gesturing for him to take off his clothes.
“What?” he said looking quizzical taking the towel from his hand and wrapped it around his jeans before wriggling out from under it letting the jeans and boxer pooled around his ankle before kicking it aside. Heechul stepped forward pulling the wet sweater over his head ignoring the soft protest dumping it onto the floor and trapped him between his arms and the sink. The angel’s eyes widened at the close proximity.
“You don’t have your wings now coz it got ruined in the rain too didn’t it? Just like my suede shoes,” Heechul grinned at his discomfort. Damn he’s cute.
“Wings?” he said, his expression strangely closed as he looked away trying futilely to edge away, his back pressing against the sink
“Yeah, it was raining then too. You were wearing all white and had placed a red rose on the lawn near the bus stop,” Heechul reminded him suspicion rising in him. Don’t tell me he’s a real angel.
“It was raining very heavily, because the heavens were crying at having to send their only angel to earth, the rose was to signify losing my wings,” he said almost nonchalantly and turned back to him in all seriousness, startling Heechul at the revelation.
“So why call it your birthday when you got thrown from the heaven?” Heechul asked starting to think this beautiful guy before him was crazy and that he was getting really skeptical.
“Because they sent me to learn about love,” he answered simply and Heechul just hummed in response although to be honest it doesn’t make sense to him as he studied the man.
“I think you’re beautiful but I think that maybe you’re crazy too, want to show me a proof?” Heechul finally said straightening up from his position and crossed his arms loosely.
Red tongue poked between those delicious lips, swiping the bottom plush uncertainly regarding him carefully. Shit that’s hot. He shrugged after contemplating whatever on his mind and turned around revealing two round nubs the size of a palm just below his shoulders. Heechul blinked his hand reached across brushing it lightly, feeling like silk under his touch and he moaned his eyes clenching shut. Nice voice he thought. Those nubs must be an erogenous area and his caressed this time round was firmer and he emitted a sharp hiss, Heechul suddenly finding himself thrown back onto the floor staring with wide eyes at the white wings that had spread out from his back.
“You really are an angel,” Heechul said, his voice came out in a fascinated whisper.
“This had never happened before after I came down to earth,” he said as surprised turning around and knocking a bottle of shampoo onto the tiled floor as he pulled Heechul up.
“Maybe you’ve found someone to learn from,” Heechul said still in awe of the wings as he touched it feeling it slide softly between his fingers.
“You mean that person is you?” he asked a soft smile playing on his lips. “Even so, my wings shouldn’t have grown back so quickly. Isn’t love a long process?”
“Maybe because you’ve already owned me the moment I saw you and you just needed to find me again,” Heechul said wrapping his arm around his waist drawing him closer. That makes sense doesn’t it? He thought and he leant in capturing his lips in a soft kiss to find a sort of conclusion, hearing their hearts beating as one and he knew he was the one.
“What’s your name?” Heechul asked when they drew away enjoying the pink hue painting the others cheeks.
“Leeteuk,” he answered with a smile.
