Family stuffs, cursing of Ben Franklin
I completely forgot that it was daylight savings time day. Curse you, Benjamin Franklin! Curse your zombie bones! Luckily, the pancake reminded me well before worktimes, so I wasn't late.
My back is slowly recovering, but still not happy. Packing is very slow when you've got the back pain, but I still made an effort and packed some books this morning.
Rissie and her husband did a lot of talking over the weekend and mutually decided that divorce is for the best. They even worked out how they're bouncing Bella around without any arguing, and I think it'll be pretty good on both ends. She's officially moving into Pidgy's as I move out. I'm both happy and sad about this, but overall, I'm happy that she's getting out of a relationship that she doesn't want to be in.
It is warm! I want to go swimming. It's awesome.
So I recently flipped through Mutant City Blues. I cannot recommend the Gumshoe system highly enough. It's a very lean, clean system that makes for quick play and is GREAT for running investigation-heavy games. And a superpowered police procedural? Awesome. Definitely looking forward to running this once I get settled in at the new place.
