So Pidgy was allowed to come home early Wednesday afternoon. Prognosis is a compressed vertebrae and a hairline fracture. They are prescribing she stay in bed (yeah, right) and therapy three times a week. The therapist came an hour earlier than we were expecting her this morning (8:30). She drives a car which looks very expensive.
Pidgy is doing generally well. The meds are definitely helping her pain level and she's mostly staying in bed. I consider it a victory that I only had to argue with her twice yesterday when I caught her doing random chore-type things, like deciding to take the garbage out. I really wish I could have talked her into going down to Becky's. She'd be bored as all smeg there for a week or two, but she'd heal up. Boredom, to Pidgy, is worse than death.
Game report: We had two absent last night, but still had fun. Everyone seemingly forgot about game night save for myself (since I had to prep for it) and Ian. Luckily, I have a telephone! Honestly, this worked out okay: I am fond of fewer players. Fewer players means I have time for more dressing, more NPCs, and more interaction with the characters on behalf of those NPCs.
Short version: Pixie and the Styx went looking for someone who had cheated at the Goblin, got caught, but slipped away during the confusion of the fight the previous night. They busted a few heads, investigated in and around a run-down chapel-turned-flophouse, and eventually succeeded in taking down a small up-and-coming crime ring. And they fought a giant chicken.
Today promises to be a productive day! Let's see if it keeps its promise, eh?
