I have eleven months to buy a house.
I live in an expensive area (greater Seattle) and my roommate situation is dissolving. I can't afford to rent a one-bedroom apartment and also afford childcare for my daughter in non-school hours.
So, my sole option is to prequalify for a loan, save up as much of a down payment as I can manage, and luck into a mobile home that falls within the range of what they'll loan me. It's going to be by the skin of my teeth.
