Potato Nov. 2008: JakaJaka JUMP-OkaMori Crosstalk

Keito: The first theme is “What are you most afraid of in the world?” Then let’s start with Ryutaro!

Ryu: Ghosts! And also war. Over summer break, a war drama was on and it was so scary that I couldn’t watch it.

Keito: For me, it’s probably a haunted house. People say that I don’t look like it, but I’m actually scared of ghosts.

Ryu: Haunted houses are impossible for me too! I would probably faint (laughs). But I think the most scary thing is definitely war. I mean people change because of war…

Keito: The people who change from war, if they die, they turn into ghosts right? That’s why ghosts are scarier!

Ryu: That conclusion is too extreme! Well, I’m afraid with just a fantasy-style haunted house though…

Keito: Right? There are real haunted houses where people come out to scare you right? I would definitely back out half-way through. I can’t even handle scary stories. When I remember it at night, I won’t be able to sleep. If there’s a scary story on TV, I would change the channel right away! (laughs)

Ryu: For me, I would probably try my best to watch it for the time being even if it’s scary. Then it’s about time we switch to the next topic and go on to the second question! “The first thing you do when you wake up in the morning”…I turn on music by artists that I like!

Keito: I go back to sleep (laughs). Today, I set my alarm clock to 8:00. On my cell phone alarm, I set it to 8:35, 8:40, 8:45…I set about 10 of them. I sleep for 5 minutes and the alarm goes off, I turn it off, and keep doing that over. When I woke up, it was 9:00. I just sleep!

Ryu: I can’t fall asleep for a second time.

Keito: I would sleep tons. The longest I’ve slept was 21 hours.

Ryu: That’s amazing. My morning routine, after I wake up, I go in the bath, eat breakfast, brush my teeth, go in the bath, and leave the house.

Keito: Eh, wait! You take a bath twice in the morning!?

Ryu: Yeah. I shampoo, and then put on the conditioner and leave it on while I eat breakfast.

Keito: Then you take quite a lot of time before you leave. I’m the last minute type.

Ryu: I want to have time to myself in the morning.

Keito: I don’t really like the sound of the word “morning.” Evening is better!

Ryu: That’s nice, evening. How cool (laughs).
