We like damage. Most aren't overly fond on inflicting it on living things, but give us an inanimate object...well, things can turn out differently. Model airplanes, Barbie dolls, that printer at work that always jams when I'm attempting to print my porn. We've abused these things. Sometimes out of frustration, other times boredom, I'm sure curiosity has something do to with it as well. Of course we don't want to be surrounded by damage each and every waking moment. Yet there are times when damage, well, it isn't quite a bad thing.
People too get damaged. Invisible marks from events that have happened in the past. Most call it baggage, but let's face it, damage sounds much cooler.
So how much damage are you looking for? For no one had the perfect childhood (because it doesn't exist) and no one has had the perfect relationship (why they hell are you here then? Find your penpals elsewhere). Which means they'll have some damage. So you have to consider how much damage you want; regardless of how attractive they are.
