Someone asked me for a summary of the drama. Here it is: "Li Su Su, the daughter of a cultivation sect leader, uses a divine artifact to go back 500 years into the past to prevent the rise of the Demonic Sovereign so he doesn't destroy the Three Realms and Four Continents. She transmigrates into the body of Ye Xiwu, the second daughter of the Shang Kingdom's most prestigious general only to discover she's actually married to Tantai Jin, the past mortal self of the Demonic Sovereign, a not favoured prince of the Jing Kingdom who is sent as a hostage to the Shang Kingdom. Everyone is trying to kill him and she finds herself in the unenviable position of trying to save his life all the time while preventing him from becoming DS."
Youko's subs which I'm sure are MTL translate Tantai Jin's title as Devil King. *rolls eyes*
Includes: time-travel, past lives, divine artifacts, concept of karma, and Enemies to Lovers trope.
Warning: the physical/verbal/emotional abuse TTJ gets subjected to can be difficult to watch at times. Especially if you were a victim of intense bullying. Just thought I'd warn in case some viewers are upset by this.
I reached ep.18 which wraps up the first arc of the series. Like last season's Love Between Fairy and Devil/Cang Lang Jue, TTEOTM benefits from a good cast and a great production team handling all aspects of the drama like cinematography/costume/design/CG/script writing. It really shines as an example of what a Xianxia drama can be if done right.
