Greetings and welcome!
Last time, a mademoiselle Polly Foxglove moved to the lovely Champs Les Sims only to find her new shack inhabited by ghosts who were promptly exorcised. She met and befriended
lostavenuea 's Kingston Foxglove, planted the first seeds in her garden, and managed to not be too inappropriate. She flirted a bit with a shopkeeper by the name of Christian, but she felt in her heart that she wanted to date Kingston...so date him she did. Unfortunately, the forces of passion made Polly a bit too free with her lips, and the last update ended with Polly kissing that darned shopkeeper.
So, let's see what's in store this chapter, shall we?
Polly had asked Kingston to come over so that they could talk.
Polly was so nervous that she actually made the bed for once.
"Ta da! It's so nice to see you, love. Do you like them? Or am I challenging gender roles too much?"
Trying to cover your guilt with affection? Nice, Polly.
"Polly, I love the flowers...but why? Is today something special?"
"I just really like you and wanted to show you. That's all."
Oh really?
"Well, I'm not trying to outdo you, but I am in love with you."
Things got pretty hot and heavy after that.
*queue mood music*
Kingston fell asleep after they WooHoo'd to their hearts' content, but Polly remained awake, thinking.
Should she tell him about that kiss with Christian?
Soon, though, Kingston was also awake.
Kingston was oblivious to her thoughts, though, because he was too busy doing the ~*stride of pride*~.
This picture is sponsored by Kingston's chest hair.
"I forgot to tell you something earlier."
"What is it?"
"I love you, too."
Cute picture of a cute couple sleeping is a requirement, yes/yes?
Kingston just decided to stay the entire next day, too, and was waiting for Polly when she woke up.
"I have to go tend my garden, Kings."
"Alright, I'll find a way to spend time until then."
Oh, Kingston.
At this point, I just decided that unless it happened on its own or Polly wanted to tell Kingston, she would not tell Kingston about how she cheated. I was too scared of messing things up for them. ;__;
Karma sure is a bitch, though.
The burglar had come in the dead of night, while Polly was asleep. So by the time the cop arrived, the criminal had made of scot-free with her bathtub. How they had managed to flee so quickly with a weighty tub will remian one of the world's greatest mysteries.
Thankfully, I was able to get Polly a new tub from the money she'd earned selling produce. She was still shaken up from the burglary, though, so it was decided that Kingston would come over to, um, comfort Polly. Ahem.
"Polly, my dear Polly, I'm just glad you're alright."
He was happy to oblige her wish for distraction.
Life went on normally for Polly (however normal that may be), but she had been worrying about Kingston. He hadn't been able to find a job...which is pretty discouraging to anyone, let alone someone as ambitious as he. She'd begun to hang out at his place more often as a result of her worrying.
But man oh man, they just couldn't keep their hands off of each other.
Seriously. I don't know if it's Polly's great kisser trait or what, but they constantly flirt, make out, and make the secks if they are near each other.
Yeeeep, they really do go at it like rabbits.
And Kingston, I guess your true heart's desire is a pair of designer stilletos, huh?
Polly eventually rolled the wish to propose marriage to Kingston. :)
So, one peaceful evening, Polly kneeled on the soil in front of her shitty house and asked if he'd like to wed her.
He joyfully accepted. <3

Polly felt a myriad of emotions - relief, love, elation - but there was still a bit of guilt hanging over her shoulder.
But instead of divesting herself of her secret, she asked Kingston if he'd move in with her, too.
Of course he agreed.
He didn't very much like dealing with Polly's shitty appliances, though.
Polly and Kingston agreed to travel to Al Simhara for a vacation before gettting married after saving up enough simoleons.
Kingston was especially excited because he'd finally been able to get a position in the military.
When they had enough money saved to buy plane tickets to Egypt, Polly and Kingston were so giddy that they just danced around their tiny shack together.
Even though there were amazing locations to explore, the two lovebirds couldn't keep their hands off each other...
And they wasted no time in, uh, claiming a tent for themselves.
When they finally realized there were things to do in Al Simhara other than woohoo, Polly's first course of action was to try snake charming.
"I am a virtuoso at this, I swear. The snake bit me because it loves me so much."
"How do you do? I've been wondering...aren't you hot wearing that?"
Yeah, these two are very cultured sims.
Haha, onion rings. Sampling the local cuisine, eh Kingston?
Um, yeah...I don't think that's the best thing to do in a public restroom no matter what country you're in.
"I hope nobody walks through the door right now..."
Really, Polly and Kingston didn't do much on this trip other than sleep together, take turns with the snake charming basket, and occasionally catch bugs and collect rocks/gems. I just love the scenery in the travel locations.
This was a pretty nice catch, though! And I think Polly was able to donate it for over a thousand simoleons. And at this point, the Foxglove household was pretty damn broke. Having a garden (that doesn't have a money tree) really is not a money-making venture, at least not until you find more rare fruits and veggies to grow.
And it was a good thing that Polly was able to get some money from their trip to Egypt, because she soon found herself feeling curiously sick.
But then Polly popped, and all was well.
This is also when Kingston got the urge for a new tattoo. I didn't get a picture of it yet, but it's a tribute to Legend of Zelda. 8D
"So, guess what? You're going to be a father soon. Uh, wanna have a shotgun wedding?"
He took the news excitedly - now he'd have someone to be childish with. :P
Nothing fancy for this couple; they're too poor.
"I hope I don't drop the ring into the crack in the floor..."
Did you like my sweet rhyme there?
And now, Kingston is officially a Foxglove. :D
They didn't have any special way to celebrate but reminisce about things together while stargazing.
(Gosh, is this chapter cavity-inducingly sweet or what?)
Kingston spent his time working hard to move up in the ranks of the military, and his effort was paying off.
Polly enjoys talking to her plants. This one's dubbed Hubert.
"What's your opinion on bees?"
"I mean, we like to eat their honey and such...but what about the stings?"
"That's true, Hubert. They do sting if you mess with them. Thanks for the tip."
"Ooooooooooow! Nobody told me...labor...would hurt this much!"
"What?! How could you not expect labor to hurt?!"
"Okay, just...breathe...in...and out..."
Kingston tried to go to bed at this point. What a good husband.
And that's where I leave you this time! Thanks for reading! <3
