"Can't Stop the Serenity" this weekend
Hi! Some of you may remember the Teseracte Players from their performances of Once More, With Feeling and Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog this past Arisia and in previous years. Well, if you're a Whedon fan, you may be interested to know that this year we're teaming up with the New England Browncoats for their 5th annual Can't Stop the Serenity event. The details are as follows:
Coolidge Corner Theatre, Brookline, MA
Friday, June 18, midnight: Dr Horrible's Sing-Along Blog (shadowcast), followed by the world premiere staged performance of Commentary! The Musical.
Saturday, June 19, midnight: Serenity (the screening of the movie, not shadowcast)
We will also be having a Captain Hammer/Dr. Horrible costume contest! Bring a canned good for a chance to win raffle prizes! This is a great event, and all the proceeds go to a wonderful charity, Equality Now, which works to end violence against women.
