Went to the Ekka today and was walking past the Strawberry Ice cream stand when I saw an old man sitting/leaning against his mobility scooter looking kinda lost. I went and asked if he was alright and if I could help him. He told me he wanted 1 strawberry ice cream for his wife but he couldn't line up because of his scooter.. I told him I would get him one, but he said for me not to worry becau
se he didn't want me to waste my day waiting in line for him. I told him it was no drama as he handed me $5, I walked straight to the front of the line and explained the situation to the young lady behind the counter. Without any problem from anyone in the either line or anyone at the store I was able to get the gentleman (aged 92) his Ice cream for his wife (aged 90). The only drama was giving his 20c change back... The stubborn old bugger was dead set against taking it off me.. I later saw him and his wife with their matching scooters, his arm on her leg, a smile on her face and his left indicator flashing... :)
