It hurt. Everything hurt. Yue wasn't really sure where she was, or what had happened now--the last thing she could clearly remember was that horror to see Nyx near her brother and she'd aimed and fired--
She couldn't think straight. What had happened? It wasn't the end, she wouldn't hurt so much if it had been the end. She couldn't sleep for the pain that wracked her body, and when she could sleep, nightmares she couldn't name woke her up screaming.
What had happened? Where was everyone? Even when she opened her eyes, everything was too dark--or too painfully bright. Everything felt too cold, or too hot, or both at once, and her head spun, even as she lay there in---the infirmary? She's not sure. She can hear voices, but the words have no meaning.
She just wants peace. She just wants to sleep and not dream. She just wants to be able to see when she opens her eyes. Yue can barely hear Inari's voice anymore, can barely hear anything.
What had happened?
