Wishing on a meme

Step One
- Make a post (public, friendslocked, filtered...whatever you're comfortable with) to your LJ. The post should contain your list of 10 (or however many you like) holiday wishes. The wishes can be anything at all, from simple and fandom-related ("I'd love a Snape/Hermione icon that's just for me") to medium ("I wish for _____ on DVD") to really big ("All I want for Christmas is a new car/computer/house/TV.") The important thing is, make sure these wishes are things you really, truly want.
- If you wish for real life things (not fics or icons), make sure you include some sort of contact info in your post, whether it's your address or just your email address where Santa (or one of his elves) could get in touch with you.
- Also, make sure you post some version of these guidelines in your LJ, or link to this post (it'll be public) so that the holiday joy will spread.
Step Two
- Surf around your friendslist (or friendsfriends, or just random journals) to see who has posted their list. And now here's the important part:
- If you see a wish you can grant, and it's in your heart to do so, make someone's wish come true. Sometimes someone's trash is another's treasure, and if you have a leather jacket you don't want or a gift certificate you won't use--or even know where you could get someone's dream purebred Basset Hound for free--do it.
You needn't spend money on these wishes unless you want to. The point isn't to put people out, it's to provide everyone a chance to be someone else's holiday elf--to spread the joy. Gifts can be made anonymously or not--it's your call.
There are no rules with this project, no guarantees, and no strings attached. Just...wish, and it might come true. Give, and you might receive. And you'll have the joy of knowing you made someone's holiday special.
OK, now for my list. Done mostly because I think it's funny, since ~1/2 the stuff falls in the "In Your Dreams!" category, and the rest just makes me giggle to list it.
In no particular order, I want:
* A Tesla Roadster. But that wouldn't be practical when you have kids, so I'd "settle" for a Model S. ^_~
* I could really use a pickup, though. A black Topkick would be nice.
* Failing that, I'd like whatever gremlins have moved into my car to GTFOff the farm and leave us alone! (And my car fixed.)
*Blistex!
*KitKats & Snickers.
*Actually, you can't go wrong with milk or dark chocolate.
*Or yarn.
*A Motorola Xoom. (I'd settle for a Kindle or Nook as long as it read PDFs)
*A new desktop computer, with an i5 processor (or better) and a killer graphics card. (A hard drive and/or RAM I can up myself)
*A laptop of my own to match ^
*The fences around the farm to be fixed.
*The barn to be fixed. (Windows and electricity would be nice, plzkthnx)
*The furnace in my house to be fixed.
*A good tenant for my house.
*A new garage.
*A chicken run attached to my coop. (Actually, my brother is plotting something like this)
*TFA DVDs.
*G1 DVDs.
*Game of Thrones DVDs.
*DVDs of the following: Xiaolin Showdown, Jackie Chan Adventures, Eureka, West Wing, Supernatural, My Little Pony:Friendship is Magic, G. I. Joe: Renegades.
*For Renegades to be picked up and continued.
*A shopping spree to a local yarn store.
*Or an online one.
*Or a local book store.
*Hell, go laugh at my Amazon wishlist.
*Or ThinkGeek.
*8 extra hours a day that are all mine.
*Failing that, I'll take an extra day a week.
*To move into and fix up the house next door.
*A Belgian waffle iron (my husband may be working on this one, LOL)
*More cookie making stuff:
*A heavy duty stand mixer, with a "Venus orbit" dough hook (the one that whirls around and around to scrape the sides).
*Freezer worthy bowls w/lids
*More cookie sheets
*Silicone liners for the sheets
*Stackable cooling racks
*More heavy duty cookie scoops
*Heavy duty cookie press
I know there's more, all equally silly, but I can't think of any at the moment. What would you like? ^_^
(Edit: To be able to draw a pic of G1!Starscream that is stuck in my head and actually have it come out looking good. XP)
