It was 12 o'clock am, December 25. So yes, it means it's Christmas time, lovers must be having a special time now in this busy street. Feeding each other, kissing, hugging, and giving each other gifts. Everyone must be like that this time of the year... Well... Everyone except for this two lovers who is arguing about something.
Yamada Ryosuke and Chinen Yuri are their names, this night didn't go as Yamada planned.. 'Why?' you ask? Let's see...
"Just wait here, Chii.. I'm gonna go and got some drinks okay?" Yamada said as he made Chinen sat on the bench. Chinen nodded happily, he clutched into the bag that he is holding, something inside must be so important that he can't take his hands away from it.
"Yama-chan will sure like it~" Chinen said as he bit his lips preventing himself from smiling widely. But someone ruined it by a tap on the little boy's shoulder. Chinen jumped a bit. He looked at that someone who just tapped his shoulder, the moment he looked he felt chills up to his spine. "Anooo....~" Chinen managed to say "Do ... you want something from me?" Chinen asked quivering a bit. He stood up and placed the bag on the bench.
"You look so cute! Want to play with me?" It's a Yakuza.... And seems like he wants Chinen for Christmas. Chinen acted to be tough infront of him, he didn't tremble... he didn't showed his nervousness, but inside ... he knows that something is going to happen to him now. Whatever it is... Chinen doesn't seem to like it.
"Sorry sir, I'm busy right now.." Chinen tried to be polite.. But how could he? The Big boy who he doesn't even know, held his wrist. And now Chinen fired up "GO HIT ON SOMEONE ELSE, YOU'RE NOT EVEN WORTH IT! BASTARD!" The little boy yelled as he stepped on the gangster's foot. The big guy groaned in pain,
But what else could you think? He is Chinen Yuri, he might be small but deep inside he is a giant who can do everything he wants, that's why he is called "The Little Giant" that might sound weird, but it totally describes him. He can be strong if he wants to, he can be spoiled if he wants to.
"YOU KID !" The big guy said flexing his toes to reduce the pain that he is feeling. Chinen stuck out his tongue then crossed his arms. Now the big guy felt his pride being stepped down. He felt angry that's why he grabbed the little boy's hands and ready to drag him, but another hand grabbed Chinen's wrist too.
"Do you need something sir?" Yamada said as he sent a death glare to the big guy. as he looked unto him. "Kuso.." The guy rolled his eyes then let go of the grip. He was about to leave but he have done something that angered Chinen... The guy grabbed the bag that Chinen has been holding on since forever then dashed out of the couple's sight.
Chinen tried to run and catch him, but Yamada took him back, telling him not to follow the guy anymore. And by that Chinen got angry at Yamada. He started walking fast leaving Yamada behind at every place they would go.
Let's go back to the present time where Chinen is staying away from Yamada and Yamada keeps on following Chinen.
"Leave me alone!" Chinen shouted to Yamada as he stopped his tracks. Tears fell out of his eyes. Now why is he crying? Yamada asked himself.. Sometimes he just can't get what his boyfriend thinks of. He tried to understand him, but he guess that he's just an idiot for not understanding the feelings of his lover, so yes... It is complicaed.
"Why are you cying over a piece of bag?" Now he said it. And it made Chinen more angrier, he cried more and more. Yamada hugged him but he pushed Yamada away.
"It's not just a piece of bag!" Chinen shouted as he hit Yamada's chest lightly.
And Chinen is right... It is just not a piece of bag. It's special... It is his gift for Yamada. He always knew that the older boy loves it so much. Because few years ago, when they were shopping at the mall Chinen saw Yamada staring at the piece of jewelry as he said "Someday I'm going to have one of that" . Chinen wanted to buy it for him so he looked at it, and the price of the item is just WOW! It's a million yen. How the hell can he afford that? He's not rich, he just lives in a simple house with a simple family.
So he worked for it, he worked for three years just to buy that jewelry. And now that he bought it someone stole it away from him. Life is hard... really. And the one he's going to give it to treats it like a trash.
"Don't you know how much I've worked for that?" Chinen cried then continued hitting the older boy's chest lightly.
"Ha?" Now for Yamada, Chinen is not making any sense at all. Yamada sighed.
"Tell me what is in it?... I'm going to buy it for you" Yamada said as he wiped Chinen's tears using his thumb.
Chinen shook his head "You can't ...." Chinen said. But Yamada really can't since he is like Chinen he is not rich, he's just a commoner and he sometimes even look for a part time job just to increase his daily allowance.
"tsk..." Yamada gritted his teeth he thought that his lover is being stubborn again. "Just tell me okay?" Yamada kissed Chinen's forehead. But Chinen shook his head again as tears fell on his black orbs more rapidly this time.
"Now... Don't cry..." Yamada patted Chinen's back, after that he reached for his pocket. "Here.." He opened the box that he kept on his pocket and it revealed a necklace. Chinen's eyes dazzled at how beautiful the necklace is, he stopped crying for a bit.
Yamada smiled gently at him as he placed the necklace on Chinen's neck. Chinen smiled at Yamada then hugged him "Thanks Yama-chan I really like it" Chinen said as he landed a kiss on Yamada's lips.
As they broke the kiss Chinen said an apology. "Why are you saying sorry? You've done nothing wrong.." Yamada said in curiosity.
"Because my gift for you is inside my bag. Then someone stole it, so I have nothing to give you right now...." Chinen said lowly.
"It's okay" Yamada smiled.
"No it's not! Do you remember the jewelry you wanted to have?"
Yamada nodded.
"Don't tell me you bought it?" Yamada raised a brow.
"I did..."
"What?! You know that it's expensive, how can you manage to afford that?!"
"I know that it's expensive! That's why I worked hard for that !"
The arguing starts again.
"You don't need to buy that!"
"I need to !"
"Why!?"
"Because I want to give it to you, because I love you more than anything in this world !"
Yamada calmed down as he heard his lover say those sweet lines. He hugged Chinen "Sorry for yelling at you..."
"It's okay it's my fault for being stubborn" Chinen hugged back.
Christmas should be like this... The two boys thought. You should give love so that others will return it to you. It's like a give and take relationship. Because christmas is the season where we should celebrate the birth of our beloved savior, and that is when love is born.
"You know..." Yamada said as he nuzzled his nose on the little boy's hair, letting the fragrance of the boy linger into his nose.
"hmmm?"
"You know you don't really have to buy me those expensive gifts, because it means nothing if you're not by my side... You are more precious than those gifts Chinen.... Always remember that... Merry Christmas Chinen I love you"
Yamada's soft lips landed on Chinen's lips.
