I'm thinking of Ali here...
My bandmate just called me to tell me that the Grand Old Opry is airing on GAC right now, with Emmy Lou Harris, Elvis Costello, Gillian Welch and David Rawlings. When I turned to the station, Emmy Lou and Elvis Costello were playing "Wheels" by Gram Parsons. And they just started singing "Love Hurts." I'd be sobbing if I wasn't typing. Time to cry.

In case anyone had forgotten the happiest moment of my life.
Something else to cry about? I talked to my dad on the phone today. He's out of the hospital (has been for about a week). He still sounds really weak and hasn't been going to work, but he drove the school bus (I LOVE that he still does that) on Monday and it kicked his ass. He told me that the last time I called, and was talking to Susan because he couldn't speak, Susan held the phone to talk to me with one hand, and with her other hand, gave my dad tissue after tissue. He was sobbing because he was so frustrated that he couldn't talk to me! I'll go curl up in a ball and waste away now.
