on categorization (assimilation)
personally, i categorize and analyze everything that i see, hear and/or think about. some categorizations are racially, ethically and politically wrong, but i don't blame myself. because everything i have learned is through categorization. another aspect of categorization is judgment. you have to judge and then categorize. when i hear somebody points at somebody and says he/she is judgmental, his/her value drops because the very first thing that the person is doing is judging. all i want to say is that judging is not bad, yet it is the very basis of our knowledge.
