It was half pass seven and Inoo was still at library surrounding by his tasks that seemed to be never finished. He was late for his date with Takaki. He was sure the other boy would be very angry at him but he didn't have many choice but to finish them. The dateline was the day after tomorrow. He didn't want to get an E for this. He knew his boyfriend would understand.
But, damn. Why did he need to have a lot of homework at time like this. It was New Year Eve, for God's sake. He wanted anything but to be with his boyfriend now, not with this stupid books on this stupid library.
God! He hoped Takaki wasn't mad at him.
This afternoon Inoo receive a rather that funny massage from his beloved boyfriend.
Inoo chan, let's watch firework together tonight (^_^)
And Inoo was waiting for this meeting with large enthusiasm . He missed his boyfriend a lot.
This stupid homeworks had been keep him busy but he determined to finish it and met his adorable boyfriend to spend New Years Eve together.
After felt like forever, and Inoo finished his last sentence, Inoo looked at his watch and surprised that it was already nine. He run for his dear life out of library toward where his boyfriend was waiting for him. Any sane person would be gone by now when the other never show up after three hours waiting and Inoo wasn't let his hope went high.
With disappointed sigh, Inoo looked for Takaki and found him nowhere to be seen.
The park was filled by a lot of people. It was filled by beautiful lights. The snow was adding the perfect decoration. Summary tonight was the perfect night for any couple to spend their time together.
Inoo felt like suffocating himself. Someone bumped his shoulder and did not apologized but he didn't care.
He never liked crowd. It was always Takaki who dragged him anywhere he wanted. Inoo clearly remember the other boy's reason every time he wanted Inoo to go out from his little world.
He would say, Inoo chan, let's get out from this unhealthy room. Sunlight is good for your skin.
He missed his boyfriend. His adorable smile that could melt his heart away. His happy laughter that could light up his day. Everything about his boyfriend was perfect. Sometimes he wondered why did he ever date such a boring person like him. He was sure Takaki would find someone much better than him.
With heavy step, he dragged his lifeless body back to his apartment.
And found himself landing on his butt when he opened his door because of the loud sound that came from said boyfriend who said, “Happy New Year!!!” with his adorable smile embellish his handsome face.
Inoo was sitting there dumbfounded and trying to focus his mind on what the heck happened just now??
And then scream, “why would you be here? What??? Takaki I am so sorry I was late. You know my homeworks.....”
Before Inoo could say some more, Takaki just dragged him into his apartment and hugged him close to his chest and said, “Inoo chan, it's okay.”
That simple touch had made his heart melt away. He hugged him back with the equal tight.
They embraced each other for a while. Enjoying the other presence in silence. Inoo loved a moment like that. He never knew hugging another person could be this comfortable. It was so warm and comfy.
Then Takaki broke their hug and led him to the living room where he found his favorite food on the table.
Inoo once again was speechless. Takaki had decorated his dull living room with colored light and candle. When Takaki turn off the light, Inoo found himself be in different dimension. It was so beautiful and he felt like hugged his perfect boyfriend and never let him go. How he loved him so much.
“Takak, it't beautiful. When did you make this?” he asked when they sat, ready to eat those food. Takaki's smiled couldn't get way wider.
“well, I was tired wating for you, it's so cold at that park, so I was thingking I could do something useful instead just sitting there like an idiot. And I was guessing you would be very hungry after working so hard on your task so I was asking Kou chan to help me preparing this for you.”
God Lord, could he be more happy that this?
Inoo was feeling warm inside. He didn't need anything as long as this wonderful person was beside him. The long awaiting future would be okay, he was sure of it.
“Takaki, I love you.” He was very thankful that this wonderful person stood by him for every thing he'd done, and he hope they would continue this for the rest of their life.
Takaki smiled and said, “I love you too, and Happy New Year.”
