I am procrastinating
Reluctant to get a start on Hell Round 2, I am procrastinating with an update.
Got through hell round 1 barely. In my attempt to relax more, be less type A, etc., I cut it awfully close for many of my deadlines. I got done my most dreaded assignment--my macroprocessing term paper. Even though I stayed up till 4AM the night before it was due, I feel like I did a good job with it and am actually proud of something for the first time this semester! Hopefully Dr. Lloyd feels the same way... I sacrificed my entire weekend for that paper so it had better be good! However, after being so tired, I was a total bum with my final lab report for my electrical properties class. I did not START it until the morning it was due. Yeah, that is pretty bad, especially when it was 25% of my overall grade and that class is the one I need to do better in (the rest I am satisfied with my performance in at least). Anyway, I had to skip thermo to finish it and have never been so on edge, stressed, anxious, eek, it was horrible, especially with knowing I was leaving after that class. Yeah, that class is evil--went till 6:15PM on Wed., the day before Thanksgiving. I am just mad because many people did not show and just emailed it. Grr, I thought we couldn;t do that. Oh well, at least I don't feel evil.
Anyway, sorry for the boring-ness. For more exciting things:
Wed night: Went to the bar w/ Mike, Bryan, and Will. It's hard to believe it had been longer seeing Bryan than Will...9 months, eek! It was really great to get out and relax after all the stress, to see them, to order whatever I wanted without stressing about price OR calories. I think that is seriously the first time since 7th grade. Wow. After the bar, saw my sister, yay! And how I missed the big bed. We have a borrowed TV, DVD, VCR, and leather chair in our "apartment" now. Very nice.
Thurs: Awesome Thanksgiving!! I love helping out, seeing family, talking like you were never apart in terms of still feeling so close.
Fri: Car broke down while carrying a car full of my cousins to meet Mike at Codurus w/ Misty. It was very sad and we never got our walk. At least Mike had the 'burb so we went back to his house, dropped them off to play w/ Misty who was very well behaved and went back to try to give my car CPR. We nursed it home and it boiled over again just as we got into his driveway. Sigh. At least Seafood Night was awesome!! The food was great, the house was packed. Everyone was helping prepare, the aura was just awesome, so happy, so warm and inviting. I love my family! I even got to see my cousin Matt!
Sat: Worked on my car with Mike. He is such an awesome boyfriend! We think my water pump is leaking, but slowly enough that we got it back to my house. I missed seeing my Uncle's new house but some other time. My car breaking made it a short weekend with the family, long with Mike so that was fine :) Shishkabob night was insane!! The food was great as always, and so was the egg nog, homeade and even better than the night before. The adults sang and danced, and there was even beer pong. Soooooo funny!
Sun: Cleaned the house and helped Mike do the rear drum brakes and some other things on his truck. Went to his place and stayed the night like a bum and hung out w/ friends instead of working.
so yeah, it's been fun though not productive. I have waaaay too much to do now :( Oh well.
Oh, and in other news, my parents now know that Mike and I are getting a place this summer :) I can't wait!!!
