Mike and I had a great Valentine's weekend, even if we did spend it w/ our parents :P
Fri after work I went to his house and watched TV and studied for my test. We got up at 7 AM (!!) and had breakfast w/ the club. We then went to the test station where I passed w/ 34/35 (26 is passing). So I am now officially a HAM radio technician :) Since I could take the next level test, General, I did after some encouragement. I had never studied for that test but tried it to see what it was like. I missed passing by only 3 questions!! All the examiners said that was the closest they've seen anyone come to passing taking the test cold like that. I was really happy--and I should get my call sign late in the week! Went to lunch w/ the amateur radio club after the test and had a great time talking it up. Everyone is sooo nice.
Had a nice nap w/ Mike after lunch. Went to my house for dinner and a movie w/ my parents. Sweet Home Alabama was enjoyable, good V-Day flick. Had a nice breakfast together in the morning. After Mike left, did some paperwork, hw, and read the Sun paper and ads. typical sunday at home :)
Dinner was FANTASTIC! Beef tenderloin shishkabob w/ grilled veggies. it was soooo good and nice to hang out w/ my parents all day, good to talk.
now i am back and going to have to do tons of work :( it's going to be a rough week, but it could be worse :) i have to set up at phone interview w/ Naval Surface Warfare center. Also meeting w/ Dr. Rubloff to talk about my thesis for grad school on Tues.
