rereading an old cyberpunk novel, "Count Zero" by William Gibson, I came across a description of a certain food which is eaten by one of the main characters while in Mexico. I made it. Now I am hooked. So I will share with all of you the recipe for making crack:
peel and cube a fresh pineapple. It MUST be fresh, pineapple from the can is utterly inferior. Remember to cut out the center, or you may hurt yourself when you eat it. (I forgot) Pour lime juice on the chunks, then sprinkle lightly with Cayenne or Chipotle powder. Chill well before eating. Enjoy with a Daiquiri or a Margarita.
