Had 80% of this written during the more not-busy minutes of my internship on Friday.

Title: An Unsent Letter
Type: One-shot
Words: 129
Summary: Because, more often than not, it takes more than time to heal all wounds.
Beta: -

An Unsent Letter

It's obvious from the things you say.

It's obvious from the things you do.

It's obvious from that look you have.

But it's just as obvious,

From things I never seem to say;

Requests I don't see fit to fulfill;

Looks that I never allow to cross

Beyond confused curiosity,

That we are shackled by fears,

Heavy and identical.

And so I hear the words

You never speak,

My mind gives no answer

To questions you are not ready to ask.

The hurt had been real,

Its roots had grown deep, and stabbed

Into wounds we pretended were healed,

So, we forget the sweet dewy taste

Of a taken risk; the plunge.

Perhaps one day we'll find

The courage we need,

And I'll find the answer

We both seek.
