"Ban Me!" & "Unjoin Me!" requests

Is anyone else getting requests from random lj accounts asking you to ban them from your community, or remove them because - for some curious reason - they joined without knowing it?

It is against lj's rules to let other people use your livejournal account, right?  These are all "paid plus" accounts that are contacting me complaining that "someone else" joined in their name.  A few even say right on their profile pages "don't join communities using this account, don't accept join requests from this account if you are a community."

So what are those accounts for, I wonder?  Someone other than the owner is using the account to join communities, obviously.  And it's probably more than one person since the owners can't seem to stop them from rejoining.  If they could, they'd simply leave the communities themselves instead asking to be "permabanned" from them by the community owners.

Can you even ban someone from joining your community?  I've never tried.  I'm certainly not going to bother doing it for some lazy rule-breaker who can't even control the people using their account.

Why let other people use your account in the first place?  Do you think they're getting paid for it or something?  These are plus accounts, so it's a way to avoid advertising, I guess.  Or maybe they're sharing something so illegal/forbidden that they can't even risk letting their "friends" see it - so they make those posts private and let others log into their accounts in order to see the goodies.

Anyway, is anyone else who owns a community getting these requests or is it just me?  And have you reported the people doing it?  I haven't reported anyone and as long as no one asks me twice, I probably won't report anyone.  I do find the requests annoying, though.

If you're going to break the rules, at least do it quietly!  Don't advertise it to complete strangers.  You're practically begging to be reported.  -.-;;
