• So over here, I was taking suggestions for places to donate money to for More Joy Day. darkhawkhealer, lawgrrl_23, & kjaneway all made suggestions. And today, I made my donations of $10 each to RAINN, National Head Start Assn, & The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. I'm quite pleased that I was able to fulfill those requests this quickly.
  
  At some point in the future, I'm sure I'll be doing something similar with charitable donations. In fact, this may well be something I choose to do for holiday gifts this year. I'm not sure yet... Keep watching for further developments along those lines....
  
  
• You know what's scary? I had this dream last night...Whatever the fuck it was I ate? Yeah, I need to never eat that again, because whoa! I dreamed I moved back to Park Falls and started working at the KFC there again, for my old boss L. *shudders* Okay, this isn't funny, y'all... When I worked there, I was 18. I was there for just over a year, started basically on 4th of July and ended mid-August of the following year. Within 2 months of working there, I'd told the manager not to schedule me for any days off unless I requested them. See, I was getting called in on my days off anyway, so what was the point? One of the good things about my old boss was that she didn't mind paying overtime if I did the work [and I was the best cashier there]. By the time I left, I was working 7 opens, followed by 7 closes, except when I needed days off to watch my brother or actually do something I wanted time off for. I made a fuckload of money. And that doesn't count when I'd get called in early/stay late [depending on the shift] because the mid-shift person would call out.
  
  But to go back there? No fucking way! I'd sooner slit my throat... *shudders*
  
  
• Y'all need to go smack shatterpath upside the head with a large, wet, dead trout, mkay? Well, and while you're at it, go smack amyrayh with that same trout, mkay? Why am I asking you to do this? amyrayh made shatterpath start watching Women's Murder Club. Today, shatterpath made me watch an ep, "To Drag and to Hold". Yep, you guessed it. I have a fucking plot bunny.... *growls* A Lindsay/Cindy one, to boot. She's such a wench... So yeah, there should be something coming soon...probably with smut. *rolls eyes with long-suffering sigh*
  
  
• I've got a fuckload of stuff I should be writing, too... Am gonna keep working on getting my muses back on track. It's making me kind of a cranky bitch not to be writing...
  
  
• I want my damned W2 form to get here, so I can do my damned taxes! I wanna know what I'm getting back. I should be able to do pretty decently, since I only made about $15k last year...
  
  
• While watching that WMC ep today, I went thru all of the granny squares from my 2 exchanges so far and separated them by size. There are 10 7" squares and 11 8" squares. So I'm gonna have to make 1 8" and 2 7" squares to have 2 blankets of 12 squares each. Then I'll be donating them to a shelter of some sort or another for kids who need them. After that, I think I'm gonna be dropping one of my 2 exchanges [the 7" one] for good. Making a bunch of squares at the last minute just isn't getting any other crochet projects done, and I'd like to make a few things for gifts this year. Tho' I'm considering doing a bookmark exchange. Those are small enough and quick enough... But I'm not sure yet, really.
  
  
• My desk is still something of a mess. I totally fail at getting that done. I need to be a bit more on task with a few things again...
  
  
• So I've just found out today that each account has 1000 tags max. I hadn't known for sure what the total was before...or forgot. I've got 93 tags so far. I'm considering going back to tag my fic by fandom and possibly by pairing [at least for the definite repeat pairings]. Would y'all like to see that? Have the ability to go in and read my fic by fandom and/or pairing in my LJ? Let me know...
  
  
• I'm nervous as hell about the voting tallies for lastficstanding. I did my voting last night, and there were some really good pieces in there. Some so-so pieces and a couple of real stinkers. I think I should be able to go a pretty good distance based on what I've seen so far, but I'm not sure, ya know? *sigh*

I think that's all for the time being. If something else comes up, I'm sure there'll be another entry....
