Author’s Notes: I'm really liking this pairing of Sofia and Calleigh. Almost equaled to Sofia with Sara.
shatterpath picked the prompt randomly. I think it worked rather nicely….

"Clue-by-Four"
by A. Magiluna Stormwriter
"What are you doing?"
"Lighting a few candles. Is that a problem?"
I narrow my eyes in suspicion, studying her movements. "What are you up to, Sofia?" Then I smell the beeswax. "Those are the good candles. You're definitely up to something."
"Am I?" she asks in that coy, innocent tone that can arouse or annoy me pretty much equally, depending on my mood. Thankfully, I'm in a good mood, albeit rather curious. Shrugging, I return to the catalog I've been studying. It's time I considered that new gun I've been promising myself for the past six months.
It doesn't take long for the lure of the guns and the scent of the beeswax to lull me into a very happy little place. I'm very aware of Sofia's presence wandering around the room, but pay her less heed than normal. After some unknown amount of time, I'm startled by the sensation of Sofia working her fingers through my braids, letting loose my hair. Smiling, I lean back into her touch, letting my eyes flutter shut. "Mmm, that feels nice. Thank you."
Sofia just smiles and continues to work her fingers through my hair. Once the kinks are worked out and my hair's all loosened and lying in unbound waves around my shoulders, she shifts and begins a slow, thorough massage of my scalp.
I swear I could totally fall asleep from this. And Sofia knows it, too. Does that mean she thinks I'm overstressed? I suppose the candles and massage could be construed that way.
"Stop thinking so much, Belle," she says, tugging lightly on my hair. "Just relax." To help drive her point home, Sofia starts massaging the base of my skull.
I can actually feel my eyes rolling back in my head. She's not playing fair, not by any means. Not that I'm complaining, mind you, because she's got really talented fingers. Her thumb unerringly wanders over to stroke across the upper shell of my left ear. Oh, that's not fair. Sofia knows…
Oh.
Well, then… Perhaps I've misjudged my lover. The gun decision can wait until later. I've better things to do now.
