Hmmm...
So I've been working on a piece of mine that will be in the FemSlash Advent Calendar :: Dog Days of Summer 2006 this year. It's a reverberation [aka standalone within the universe, sometimes later worked into one of the actual books] that takes place in the summer of 2006. Yes, we're going 4 years beyond the latest point we've got in the works at this point [August 2002 is when book 6, Rainbows, is set].
I've been working on this for a couple of days now. In between shopping excursions w/ shatterpath, movies we haven't seen in a while, and sleeping because of headaches and a toothache.
It's definitely something that's different from what I've done before. We've never skipped this far ahead without having a fairly decent timeline in place for the intervening time. It's kind of a daunting process, to be honest.... And I'm not sure it'll be done proper justice, if that makes any sense....
And of course, I still need to work on my 2 other pieces [Sassy & Alex/Rachel] for sure.... We've got 9 slots still open that haven't gotten second stories added yet. I know the deadline is next Sunday, but I can work on extensions for pinch hitters...
Which reminds me, have to send out the reminder emails to the authors that haven't sent me their stories yet....
