Hard. Core. Ouch. That's some rough glove you laid on 'bucky! Little insecure, little resentful, totally aware that she's being used by both sides. I dig it!

I thought one of the reasons she gravitated toward Cain was - as you cited - the Admiral recognized Kara's flaws and was willing to work with them, to give her room to go all maverick now and again without fear of disappointing Daddy Bill or upstaging Pollyanna Lee. Thanks so much for this - I truly enjoyed it.

You're welcome! I'm so glad you liked it. I wasn't sure if it fit what your prompt had been, since my Starbuck muse seemed to be wandering off into her own little world, forgetting anyone else was around...

Hmmm Starbuck angry.

The only inner monologue I'd have frakking Cain would be, "Holy Frak. Was that her tongue?"

But, sure, if I was in Kara's situation I might be reflecting on my shitty secret mission.

I totally agree that Roslin didn't want another alpha female around. It also made me think of them squaring off in some kind of boxing ring...filled with jelly.

In seriousness, this was very well written. Very nice.

*heh* That would be hot! I think I'm gonna let my brain ponder on that while I continue to write Reyes/Scully blasphemous rosary pr0n...

And thanks!

Very rarely, but yes. When the muses decide they want to be heard, I write for them, but they're a fickle pair of muses. *veg*
