Harry Potter-based question....
So this morning while listening to LAUNCHcast, I got to hear a live version of "Mama" by Genesis. For some reason, I got a serious resonance of Severus Snape. Like the seeds of a plot-tarantula [which is much bigger and more insideous than a plotbunny, trust me].
So here's my question....
Outside of the bits of flashback-type background info we've seen in Order of the Phoenix, what do we really know about Snape's background? His childhood?
I've an idea for this plot-tarantula based on the above song, but I don't want to write it if it's seriously, horrendously AU....
Any help would be muchly appreciated....
