{memes} Gratitude Project :: Day 30
Today I am grateful for insulation.
shatterpath has already done the work to insulate the basement office against the cold. She got some fantastic insualtion stuff at Lowe's and got the sunroom door and the vent thingie in the wall by the sunroom door [we're still not sure WTF that vent is for, and we've lived here for just over 5 years now]. We still need to block off the flue for the non-functioning fireplace down here yet, then we'll be more completely insulated against the cold. But you can already feel the difference in this office. It's been mid30s to mid40s all day, and I've been barefoot the whole time. My toes have only gotten a little cold a couple of times [like right now], too. That's fantastic!
Perhaps tomorrow we can do the flue, as we need to unbury it to do so. But that'll be after all the other errands are done...
