{memes} Gratitude Project :: Day 24
Today I am grateful for affectionate booties.
Specifically Elphaba [whom I really need to get an icon of].
She is a Daddy's girl and always has been, pretty much from the minute they laid eyes on each other. But she also can be quite affectionate with me. When
shatterpath is either sleeping upstairs or gone from the house, Elphie will willingly jump up to curl up against my chest for pets and love. But ONLY under the previously mentioned circumstances. If
shatterpath is down here at all, she won't do it. If Elphie knows that
shatterpath is active upstairs, she won't do it.
So cue my surprise earlier this evening, after my nap, when Elphie specifically gave me the cues that she wanted to jump up for some love. With
shatterpath right there at her desk. Of course, I let her jump up and took advantage of the opportunity to get in some Elphie loving. And of course, the cameras were both on my desk, so there was no way
shatterpath could get photographic proof of this phenomenon [do doo do do do].
But yes, I love my booties when they shower love and affection on the Mama....
