Okay, wow, I'm so tired but I'll try to make sense...

When I found 'my' story and saw your name above it, I kinda went: Oh gosh, cool! Really? -That kind of really where the voice goes all up and pitchy and you sound really ridiculous? Yeah, that kind of 'Really'. Because I practically devoured your CSI-fics long before I even thought about creating an account here and they are magnificent. Without exception. You just got a style of writing that made me forget about anything else while I read.

Then I started reading and paused after a couple of sentences. Second person narrative. I can't explain it, but I have a strange weakness for that POV and it can enrich especially stories that are a tad bit sad or melancholic, overall rather slow and more introspective so damn much when handled skillfully. And that, you did so very beautifully.

I could go and quote a couple of sentences and comment on them, but no, I just want to say that for me, this fits like a glove. I like insightful, slow approaches, I like doubts and insecurities laid open in a character. And possibility. Pleasant chills full of hope. Not diving (directly, later is quite fine by me)into the deep end head first, but let the change come creeping up on you.
And Jane is just perfect. (Not that Maura isn't portrayed really great, I simply have a soft spot for Jane.) I can practically see and hear these scenes. Getting visuals so clearly into my head just tops it off.

So, thank you, I really relished this fic. And I hope this won't remain your only foray into this fandom.

BTW, I didn't catch the Disney reference, but then the reason might be that I watched almost all of them in German. Or I simply didn't get it.

Whoa, this got long. I should really shamble off to bed now before I start embarrassing myself, I tend to ramble on and on when tired...

Thank you for the comment on my CSI fics. I really appreciate that.

As for this story, I'm glad you liked it. I wasn't sure where I was going to go initially, but this idea just grabbed me and I ran with it. I, too, have a weakness for second person POV, despite always worrying that I'll mess it up when I write it.

I'm not 100% sure if I'll delve back into this fandom or not. It really just depends on my muses and what they decide they're in the mood for, to be honest.

So again, thank you for your feedback, and I'm so glad that you liked this.
