10 years and 6000 posts...

So today is my 10 year anniversary on LiveJournal. It's hard to believe that I've been doing this online journaling thing for 10 years now. It's just completely and utterly mind boggling, you know? The impetus for starting my LiveJournal had been the death of my beloved Gramma Peewee the day before. By process of elimination, that means that yesterday was the 10th anniversary of her death [in case you missed the big post I did about that last night].

I want to apologize for being so damned spammy the last few days, today in particular. I really, REALLY wanted to be able to hit 6000 posts on my 10th anniversary. I'd meant to do a better job of spreading them out over the last several days, and that just didn't happen. Don't worry, I won't be QUITE this spammy again for a while.

I've met a lot of really fascinating people in the last 10 years, mostly online folks, and I've journaled about a lot of it, which helped get up to that 6k posts mark. I'd like to thank everyone who has been a part of my life in this time, for making it so much more interesting. Even those people who are no longer my friends, for whatever reasons. You've all made my life so much more interesting, so much fuller, than it might have been otherwise. I think back over the things that happened in my life in the last 10 years and I'm so surprised at what has happened, what I've accomplished, what I've lost. It's very humbling. There are a few of you who've been through all of it with me. To those few, I say thank you for sticking around through all of my weird shit these past 10 years. You've definitely qualified as family at this point.

*wry chuckle* I had intended this to be a lot more amusing/funny than it is, not quite so nostalgic. I'll blame that on still feeling a bit off from yesterday and its anniversary.

Anyway, it's been a fucking fantastic 10 years. Here's to the next 10...
