SO. Damned. Close!
SO. Damned. Close. to 50% done! I am kind of peeved at myself that I didn't get that extra 946 words written today, so I could hit 25k today! Damn it! But I'll obviously hit it tomorrow, which is still good. And right now, I'm like 2 1/2 days up on the suggested word count totals, and I'm QUITE happy with that!
And may I just say that I am learning all sorts of interesting things about Monica Reyes and Dana Scully doing this project? I mean, srsly! It's insane and awesome! LOL!
Got some more supplies for Yule gifts to be made, and picked up a couple "commercial" gifts tonight because amyrayh said we would get them. LOL! Can't wait for the reactions to these gifts when they're opened. And I really, REALLY need to get going on finishing up Yule gifts. Particularly for darkhawkhealer, since she'll be here in like 2 weeks for a visit! *squees* I actually miss my darkhawkhealer since she moved away, and am happy that we'll get to spend some time with her when she visits. And I get to subject her to a few favorite eps of Poltergeist: the Legacy, which is AWESOME!!! I just have to decide what eps to show her.
I was going to write up a whole big post about
shatterpath's birthday yesterday, as I'd promised in my last post, but instead I'm going to link you to
shatterpath's 40th birthday post instead. All I'm going to add to her story is that, for the first time in my life, I finally understood what it is the men in my family [and my sister apparently] must feel during deer hunting season. Seeing that 5-point buck [maybe 6?] had me caught in the dichotomy of revering nature in all its wonder and wanting to eat venison and hang that gorgeous rack on my wall. It was a very strange feeling, to say the least. And I'm STILL craving venison, damn it! Will need to talk to Dad about seeing if he can send me some venison sausage...
Still need to make
shatterpath's birthday meal and cake yet this weekend. Think I can do that tomorrow, while I'm getting some dishes done.
And now to try to get my
intoabar story started completed and posted before the deadline of 21:59 PST on 13 November 2010. I think I finally have a good idea for Addison meeting up with Father Phillip now, thanks to a great suggestion from darkhawkhealer yesterday. Now, I just need to get it done in a minimum of 1000 words by the deadline. No problem!
