Step in time!

So yes, we're currently watching Mary Poppins and the "Step in Time" segment is playing, hence my subject line. Work with me here, okay? *g* Tho' it is an amusing jump to go from Grease to Mary Poppins. I didn't want to watch Annie again so soon, and Grease 2 has never been all that high on my list of fave sequels. *shrugs*

Pickles got one of the largest dandelions I've ever seen today. The stem was over a foot long and rather thick for a dandy stem. The flower was probably 2-3" across, as well. And he gobbled that sucker down rather quickly before touching his dandy leaves and clover. Fucking spoiled rotten piggeh! Perhaps tomorrow we'll take him outside in the playpen to nibble on grass while
shatterpath & amyrayh work in the garden. I'm quite sure I can find some crocheting to do whilst sitting watch over Pickles.

I tried out a new dishcloth pattern today. It's cute and works up pretty quickly, but I'm gonna try to futz with the pattern a bit, as I want to make something a bit more rectangular for
shatterpath. We'll see what happens when I do the futzing. For now, this one will probably end up... Well, I'm not sure what
shatterpath will do with it, exactly...

And for a bit of a laugh... I found my old *Evil Overlords* "bible" binders yesterday while cleaning in the home office. Suffice it to say [as there's only 2 people on my circle/flist that have worked for *Evil Overlords* & 1 of them at my call center], there was a VERY full 3" binder, as well as a rather full 1" binder, plus three 3-hole "pouches" full of crap, as well. Took about an hour or two to completely clean everything out & get it into the shred/burn bags, but it'll all be destroyed the next time we decide to do a fire to get rid of that sort of thing. This is mainly because I don't want to waste all that time putting it thru the shredder. Not to mention, the resulting ash will be good additional fertilizer for the plants in the gardens. I was laughing and rolling my eyes at some of the positively ANCIENT crap I found in those binders, particularly the big bible. But I did manage to find all of my kudos, certificates of appreciation, and the awards from P & J's team. Good times, man! Good times... But I think this also means that I'm pretty much settled on not going back there again...

mosca &
callmesandyk have put up a pre-poll for fandoms for Femslash Ficathon 10. Go add in your two cents re: the fandoms that should be on the poll. What's kewl is that there's a Dreamwidth version & a LiveJournal version of the pre-poll poll. I'm a member of both comms, but will probably post all of my answers on the DW version. Suffice it to say, I'm really excited to be able to participate again this year. I think I've participated in all of the Femslash Ficathons from the start, but can't quite remember for sure... I look forward to this every single year, even as my list of available fandoms for "the list" seem to dwindle each year.

And while I'm thinking of it... If you are on DW & LJ, I need your assistance. I need to know if you have an active journal on DW that is duplicated on LJ [and what the name of it is]. If it is and you've blocked comments on the LJ, I'm gonna de-friend on LJ and just follow you on DW. If you decide at some point that you're going to stop posting to DW then, let me know and I'll reverse it. I know there are some of you that cross-post and keep comments active on both. I'll probably keep those both active, simply because there can be completely different discussions/threads going on, and I like being involved in all of them...

And on that note, I think I'm gonna call it a night and go read more of my latest First People book. I now have 4 more books to read in that series that I own, then there are 3 more to get yet before I have the entire collection to date. And once I've owned and read them all once, I'm gonna go back and reread them in order to catch the continuity/changes in their original order...
