Slept in a bit this morning. I was up by like 0715. Not unusual for me, thanks to my bladder, but there are days I'd love to sleep in later than that, you know? This is what I get for having a work schedule so early in the morning for the last 2 3/4 years...
Anyway, while
shatterpath &
amyrayh went and did some errands in Tacoma [including a card shop, the building materials resale place, & I'm not sure where else], I stayed home and did some stuff online that needed updating. Case in point, I got the graphics made and the votes tallied and posted for the
FemSlash Advent Calendar :: Dead of Winter 2009. And I've made the decision that the voting portion of the calendars is going to be going on hiatus for the foreseeable future. There really isn't a lot of turnout, not when compared to when we started the voting, and if there's not turnout/interest, I'm not going to take the time to put it out there. If people show interest in doing the voting again, great. If not,
shatterpath & I will continue to do our special awards each round. Hell, I'm already thinking and planning for the next calendar. But this is nothing unusual.
I also managed to clean out some more of the backlog in my various inboxes today. That's always a relief. Expect a fun time wasting poo entry tomorrow, as well as a quotes entry. That should have things pretty well cleaned up to where I like them. I still have some work to do with the next SSP update, and I need to finish writing up my responses to the "fake TV series" meme suggestions given to me by
havocthecat and
nnaylime. The latter will actually be easier to do, I just haven't sat down to do it. The former, I'm honestly still working on it. I have a great idea, but it's somewhat hard to translate from my brain to paper/the screen. But I'm working on it, honest...
I managed to watch several movies today, too. Got to rewatch White Nights, which I haven't seen in years. I'd forgotten just how much I LOVED that movie! And the scene where Baryshnikov and Hines are dancing together? Pure magic! Also got to rewatch Fried Green Tomatoes, which is always a personal favorite. And earlier tonight, I got to see Race to Witch Mountain [or whatever it's called] for the first time. The jury's still out on that one. It was kinda... weird...
And now that my
femslash_today update is done [the first in more months than I can count], I'm heading up to bed. I'll read another chapter or two of Tailchaser's Song, then bedtime for me. Here's hoping I get another Addison dream... *veg*
