WTF?
So I have been home from work the first 3 days of this week with a days-long migraine. Not fucking kewl, yo! Not at all! I believe I said it sucked huge, rancid donkey balls in my FB status a bit ago. And I meant it.
Am going to see Doctor-Man on Monday to get my FMLA recertified, get a follow up on my BP issues, and get my prescriptions redone. Turns out that the FMLA people will only do 1 year at a time for certification, despite the fact that Doctor-Man signed the paperwork for 2 years. And they didn't bother to tell me that until I called today to ask to get my paperwork resent to re-certify. So glad they could tell me that shit BEFORE this point. So they said they can backdate coverage up to 30 days, and since I'm seeing Doctor-Man on Monday, I'll be fine for this week. I'm gonna take my sup's suggestion and have Doctor-Man change it from 4 days/month to 8 hrs 2-5 times a week. That way, if something like this happens again, I don't have to worry about using all [or most] of my FMLA in one fucking week.
This also means that I'm gonna be looking into other options for correcting some of my health issues. I'm getting better at taking my meds again, and I know not taking the BP meds CAN cause some migraines, but not like this. This is primarily the barometric pressure and that damned low pressure system hovering off the fucking coast, with a little stress thrown in for spice. My Tc's wife [both of whom have me friended on FB] has rec'ed her chiropractor [and says the insurance covers him], so I may consider that as an option, too. For all I know, I'm sleeping weird, putting my neck/back/spine out of whack, and that's partially causing these migraines, too. Can't hurt to look into it, I suppose.
Tried some of the "heritage" Dr. Pepper that's limited edition out right now. There's NO high fructose corn syrup in it, just sugar. I can definitely taste the difference... and we plan to buy more when we get the chance. We'll store the extra in the garage, man! And there's a similar version of Mountain Dew. I'm curious to taste that one, too...
Anyway, am working on finishing up my voting and feedback for the FSAC :: DW09. I've extended voting out until 11:59pm PST on Friday, 8 December2010, so if you haven't had a chance to vote yet, you now have one.
I have more to talk about re: fandom_stocking, both what I received and what I gave, but not tonight. I am heading upstairs to watch an ep of Glee [I think we're on "Showmance"] with
shatterpath before bed.
