So yeah...
My weekend is nearly over. *pouts* I'm still getting used to this whole having Sat/Sun off thing, as I haven't had this in like almost 2 1/2 years now. It's kinda creepy. And it's majorly sucky for setting up doctor's appointments. I will give that gripe about it right now.
And may I just say that continued, relatively hard cramping is one of the things I really DON'T like about that time of the month? It's bad enough that my body chose to wait an additional 10 days to finally start, with cramps the whole time, but to make me continue to have the cramps now? Um, fuck you, body, fuck you very much...
So yesterday, we went to Cougar Mountain Zoo. amyrayh really, REALLY wanted to see the new Bengal tiger cubs. zOMG! They are SO cute! Srsly? Watch the vid. It'll give you glimpses of all 4 of the boys. I know that Nashi, the cougar, is kind of the main attraction, but these tigers? Dude, they're it for me...
So the tigers... The older of the 11 wk old cubbies is a Standard and the younger is a Royal White. Then there are 2 older 2yo cubs [they're cubs until they're 2 1/2 yo] :: Almos, another Royal White, whose name is Hungarian for "one with dreams" [I think I remembered that correctly], and Taj, a Golden. Not only did we get to see the little cubbies, but amyrayh made the donation for the three of us to go into the "tiger tunnel". We got 20 minutes in the tunnel between the tiger and cougar exhibits to get pictures and such of Almos and Taj. We were separated from them by 7/8" laminated safety glass...and even less than that when we were at the metal mesh door.
shatterpath actually got to feel whiskers/fur from Almos as he walked by, and he chuffed at her, too. We have LOTS of pictures from yesterday [amyrayh has over 600 herself] that we have to go thru, but I will post some up soon-ish.
But first? Here's a shot of me and Taj. Yeah, there's less than an inch between me and that big boy. Isn't he fucking gorgeous????
It was a fantastic memory that I'll carry for a long time. I wanted to be able to pet and cuddle those boys, but safety wins out in the end. And I'd make for a damned good couple meals for those big boys.
Today was pretty laidback. We did breakfast at Shari's, then hit Costco. amyrayh baked up the oysters we'd bought at Uwajimaya. Anytime we go into Seattle, we try to stop at Uwajimaya. It has THE best food and drinks... I still remember when miashael introduced me to Uwajimaya down in Beaverton, then I got to do the same with

I also cleaned my desk today and got a couple of stories posted.
minerva_fan, if you're reading this, we didn't get to the final weight details of the laptop today. I will make sure we get all that info squared away tomorrow when I get home from work and get the package out on Tuesday. My total bad...
