"Messenger"

The constant chatter of the gulls and crows have slipped into the comfortable background buzz of my surroundings once again as my life in Chicago reasserts itself. They only really warrant my attention when directly interfering in some aspect of my life, like the suicidal ones darting about in traffic.

But this is different.

For the last several days, there have been three crows following me. Now, it's probably not the same three, since that would be oddly creepy and a bit disturbing, but three nonetheless.

Oddly enough, they've only shown up since we returned from our trip to England. Part of me wonders if these crows aren't some sort of messengers, though I couldn't begin to say from whom. It's probably just some strange coincidence, to be completely honest.

I'm not even sure why I'm worrying so much…
