I like your analogy of Bush, the whole CEO thing is pretty right on. Last night on the Daily Show they had some guy who wrote a book about what a great president Bush is and complaining about how all the liberals are bad-mouthing him and the lack of good taste people have, and that we shouldnt make fun of him for being dumb because he graduated from Yale, blah blah blah.... and its like what else is new? Anyway, I also am feeling your whole father's politics thing too, cuz I guess I am the same way, my dads always been a democrat altho he was never that outspoken about it, it almost seemed like a sports team he really liked instead of political beliefs. You cant help but want the approval of your parents, so its just natural to want to adopt their beliefs but as you get older you are able to be more objective about it. Thats what Al Franken was saying too about the difference between conservatives and liberals, conservatives have a blind faith, unquestioning love for America, whereas liberals know and accept that there is a lot of problems but that they want to make it better.
Did you hear about that senator who called the teachers union a terroist organization? Thats scary. Neo-McCarthyism, bring on the witch trials.
