Can't Hurt To Try

I have accomplished quite a bit today.

This morning when I got up I told myself I'd go straight back to bed when Mike left for work -since Charlie was sleeping in and Bastian was at a friend's house staying over. Mike left and I decided quite suddenly to stay up and get started on the day. I folded some more laundry, put in another load, checked the A/C condensation hose, swept up the temple, wrote a new blog post elsewhere, and then started lunch.

I made Charlie a hot dog, and pizza for Bastian and myself. Then I did all the dishes, started some shrimp marinating for tomorrow's dinner, and now I rest. I've decided that I want to get back into the mindset I had when I first started college back in 2002. I journaled daily, sometimes multiple times a day, and I want to start doing that again. So here it is... a blog about my day.

My feet are aching pretty badly, but I want to take the boys to the summer solstice drumming circle down at Beattie park at 6. Looking at the clock, I see that's fifteen minutes away and Mike's still not home, but he was stopping at the store to get veggies and things so we can make BBQ for our friends at tonight's D&D game. I bought a tray of big country-style pork ribs at the grocery and now we've decided to get one more and make enough for everyone.

At least the shrimp will be just for us tomorrow, and we'll have a pretty awesome stir-fry with it. I can't wait to start harvesting fruit from our garden for all this magnificent feasting.
