here i am!
Well, I haven't really gone anywhere-- but here I am! A little update for my own amusement...
my first ever apartment is going well. it didn't start well, with the whole cats-on-every-floor-of-the-building fiasco, but we keep our place clean and Andrea and I are breathing fine so far. the living room is especially nice, i think. hardwood floors and a tv and a little bookshelf. What more could you need? I only ever clean my bedroom when my bf is coming to visit, but it's really nice too. and we don't have to pay for hot water- score!
i'm working at UPS and Chapters. Chapters is a bit disappointing, even though I adore books. Many of my shifts start at seven am, and some of the managers and supervisors are tools. But a lot of people are nice, and I get a discount.. and I really like shelving books because I see so many new ones that I haven't heard of all!
UPS is pretty good, all in all. Four hours a day, monday to friday. Hopefully I'll be getting more hours soon, as it's by far the better paying job. Other than that, I'm about to start volunteering as a literacy tutor. More excitingly, Andrea and I have been dog-walking for the SPCA. Every time we go we walk the same dog. It's a pitbull named Justice. On the website her name is posted as Emma, or something silly like that. Maybe to make her seem more loveable? But she is really loveable, she is so cute! I think I'll walk her tomorrow, even if it gets cold.

And the final bit of exciting news is that I'm starting the Humber School for Writers in January. I'm officially accepted. wOOhoo. It's correspondence so I won't have to move anywhere, which is good cause I really don't want to. My book is going to blow your mind! YAh!
